Welcome to Fun 2 C Faces!

Face Art, Fun, and More!

About Us

             It was a great experience

Hello, my name is Kerri Caldwell, I am the owner and lead artist of Fun-2-C-Faces. I have been a licensed cosmetologist since 1978. I put my artistic ability to work in a hair salon, but I found myself drawn towards make-up artistry. I loved it. I was offered a make-up artists position in Washington DC at a photography studio doing hair and make-up.

                      My life changed

After six years of marriage, husband and I had two children back to back. My son Alex in 1996 and my daughter Sarah in 1997. The one year they were in public school, I volunteered at the school carnival to paint faces thinking it would be easy because of my make-up artist experience. Well it is not the same. Although I did alright, I had a lot of room for improvement. Even with a lot to learn I realized that the kids loved my art work and we had so much fun. For different reasons we decided I would home school our children, but we also needed me to have an income. Finding a way to help out our family financially was difficult because of the hours needed for home schooling. I needed something nights and weekends.

I had a light bulb moment

Fun-2-C-Faces was born. It has been an amazing journey!! I started by doing some research and found a very talented face and body painting artist named Mark Reid who was coming to Roundhill, Virginia to give a 1 or 2 day  face painting class. I decided to jump in and take the 2 day class.

                    I never looked back.

I continue my education monthly from many sources.  As Fun-2-C-Faces grew it became a family business.  Through face painting we were exposed to balloon twisting and other services we could offer.  My son Alex started twisting balloons and my daughter Sarah applying our glitter tattoos early in their teens.  Now Sarah has become the make-up artist in the family. So we have added that service as well as airbrush art and black light paint parties. Over the years it has been a great learning experience for us all as we continue to grow and bring joy to children all over the DMV area. You can view some of my art work by visiting the gallery.
